With the presence of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General 
Raúl Castro Ruz; the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez; the president of the National Assembly
 of People's Power and the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández; the Vice President of the Republic, Salvador 
Valdés Mesa; The Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, as well as the Second Party Secretary, José Ramón Machado
 Ventura, began the Sixth Ordinary Period of Sessions of the Assembly of People's Power, in its IX Legislature.

According to the program of activities, during the day the presentation of an updated report from the Ministry of
 Health on the contributions of science in the confrontation with COVID-19 is expected.
 
The deputies approved the Order of the Day for this Sixth Ordinary Period of Sessions of the National Assembly, 
which includes:
 ♥ Updated report of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba on the contributions of science in the confrontation with 
COVID-19
♥ Report of the Ministry of Internal Commerce of Cuba on the fulfillment of the improvement of Internal Commerce
♥ Reports from the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba and AZCUBA on agricultural and sugar production, respectively
♥ Summary of the Economy of the year 2020 and Plan of 2021
♥ Draft Law of the State Budget for the year 2021
♥ Analysis of the bill for the Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People's Power
♥ Analysis of the bill of Organization and Functioning of the Municipal Administration Council
♥ Proposal of the body of the Central State Administration and the Provincial Government to report to the National 
Assembly of People's Power in July 2021,
 
For the second time this year, the Cuban Parliament is in virtual session as part of the measures being implemented 
in the country to confront SARS-Cov-2.
