  In Fifty: Personal Exhibition at the Art Gallery in Perico. Javier Dueñas Rodríguez (Colón 1969): Artist of the Plastic. Member of the UNEAC. He has developed
an intense work as an illustrator basically of books for children and young people. As a creator, he has
obtained important awards inside and outside the territory. His work within social networks was recently
recognized in the stage of social isolation by COVID-19, which resulted in a good part of this sample.
Once the Galleries are closed, the ONLINE universe becomes a body and stage for the promotion of
the arts in the world. The Sample in Cincuentena, by Javier Dueñas, reflects current circumstances, communicates spasms,
fears, horrors and also hopes. The portrait of the circumstances we face are reflected from the color,
the silence, a symbolism that testifies to the confrontations not only with an unknown disease, but
also with social deformations, individualism, hoarding and neglect. Art is a testimony of an era and its
society, that is why the artist communicates us with art to hope.
