In these times of health contingency due to Covid-19 that plagues the whole world, women grow up and are protagonists of the most diverse productive tasks.
They are present in the production of food, they promote the cultivation in plots and family yards, they are also distinguished in the breeding of birds, pigs and even fine cattle, which due to the pandemic and the intensification of the economic and financial blockade of the Government From the United States to the island has made women look for different initiatives to move forward in order to raise short-cycle crops to higher stages.
Specifically within the Food Sovereignty and Local Development Agreement that is executed in our municipality, it has within its strategic lines of work, that of gender equality, which is oriented precisely to Rural Women. They work together with the Federation of Cuban Women and the rest of the participating organizations in the 3 Popular Councils and contribute with their work not only to their family nucleus but to the entire community
