The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, will speak today September 22 in the debate of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Cuban President will be the seventh speaker in the morning session on the opening day of the important event, which this year will take place virtually due to COVID-19.
In addition to the central intervention of the Cuban president, the participation of representatives of the island is expected in other high-level events.
Among them is the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the UN, the 25th of the Fourth World Conference on Women, the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons and the Summit on Biodiversity.
More than 170 heads of state and government are expected to participate in this event.
